Learning the Trade, Before Leading It
Before starting A.M International, its founder spent several years working inside the flavour and fragrance industry, learning formulation, production and client relationships from the ground up. That hands-on experience became the foundation the company was eventually built on — a reason A.M International’s own process still centres on in-house research and development rather than buying in ready-made formulations.
The First Decade Was the Hardest
By the company’s own account, the first twelve years were the most demanding — building a client base, a factory, and a reputation from nothing. The guiding principle through that period was simple: “Trust in Allah – Hard Work – Honesty.” It is a motto that still shapes how the company operates today, from its Raiwind Road factory to the way it handles a new client’s first enquiry.
From Liquid Flavours to a Full Range
A.M International began by producing liquid flavours and fragrances only. Within five to six years, it had expanded into dry-powder flavours and fragrances — and in 2008, became the first company in the world to launch fragrances in dry-powder form. Today the range also includes seasoning and pre-mix flavours, manufactured at a purpose-built facility capable of 10 tons of flavours and fragrances daily.
What the Journey Means for Clients Today
That twenty-year build-up is also why A.M International holds ISO 9001, ISO 14001, FSSC 22000, Halal and PFA certification — standards that take years of consistent practice to earn, not a single audit. For a business choosing a flavour or fragrance supplier, that history is the clearest signal of reliability a new relationship can start on.
